And they screamed and screamed and...

... and they screamed some more!

My friend *rk* and I planned to meet at the theaters a good 40 minutes before the show. Mistake one. Those girls were there at 5 for the 8 pm show.

She and I alone brought up the average age of the line by at least, ummm 6 mo. Don't shoot me, *rk*, but we were like 2 or 3 times the age of most girls in that line.

It was so much fun to hear them scream. The theater darkens, they scream.

The movie title appears. They scream.

We see a Volvo. They scream.

He kisses her, they all collectively hold their breaths.... then scream.

So the movie?! It was a total scream! ;)

ps - I totally waited and read all the credits, and when I finally saw Marshall (after the guy in charge of animal combs)... I screamed. ;) I've got a witness.

  3. Hilarious. They were screaming (in a fun, not obnoxious way) in our theater, but they were mostly 20's, 30's and 40's girls AND guys there.

PM me... I must hear all the details of what you thought!!!

How cool you cheered for Marshall!!! I cheered for him again too.

I hope you were able to hear some of it - through all that screaming.

  7. Eeeek!!!!! It was like, so awesome, Darcy!

Okay, that probably makes me sound old, too, 'cause I'm sure awesome is not the word kids use these days!

That really was entertaining--the movie and the screaming teens.

  8. I think that screaming teens would have made the movie that much more fun! Katie and I went to the 10am show yesterday. Mostly women my age. Plus two girls in home made Team Edward shirts that looked like they were skipping school. Katie loved it. Me...not so much :-) But it was fun being part of it!!

  10. Im glad everyone is liking it! I am also glad Edward washed his hair because it has been pretty nasty on all these interviews! I however do not like screaming teenagers and will probably wait a while to see the movie :)

  14. We went to the midnight showing and it was sold out! I had to sit up front...still have a neckache lol, and boy could I ever see Bella and Edwards pores. Same kind of crowd and reaction here, too. Lots of fun. :)

  15. My daughters went to see it and, yes, the teenie boppers were in fact screaming. Hannah said, "Uh, how were we supposed to hear the dialogue with them screaming?" She's read the series 2x in 2 months and now says this is her all time favorite movie. I can't seem to get into it. Maybe I am too into my Jane Austen and, well, old. Ya think?

  16. I am sooo behind on this one. Soooo dorkily behind. I have Twilight on hold at the library and am hoping that it will come in before next June. I'm hoping to read the book and then see the movie.

Oh, who am I kidding? I'll end up getting the book next week and seeing the movie the next day! Or vice-versa!

  17. I saw it on Sunday with two other fellow addicts. Of course it was not as good as the book but it was still a must see. And the word is that they are going to do New Moon and Eclipse (at least)...so yippee!
