I just love you! You are a real person. LOL Okay, you are going to think I am weird but a video is so much more real than a blog and I loved watching this. Tell Picaso thanks for introducing Lucy. :-)
FUN!!! I've been reading for a while and rarely (never?) comment. (Shame on me!) But this was SO FUN and I LOVED getting to 'meet' you - so I thought I'd better be a better blogger and say 'hi'. Loved your video! :)
It was so fun getting to see how you are in real life! Not that you don't blog honestly or about your life, but to see your mannerisms and to hear your voice. It will make a difference now when I read your posts...not a "bad" difference...different in a very good way. You crack me up! (in your posts and in the video...in a good way!) :0) Am I making sense? I'll stop...
Oh...and I especially love to read stuff about Iowa as that is where my whole family is and where I grew up. I miss it.
LOL, that totally looks just like my closet! Love your video, and the interruptions were the best, because I'm very partial to boyz and catz! Maybe I'll do a video blog one of these days......ha ha! I'm really enjoying working with you on my blog makeover...you're the best; so patient! LOVE LOVE LOVE what "we've" done so far, and am looking forward to picking up again on Monday. Have a great weekend! Deborah/Webajeb.com
Darcy, you did a great job! You are so sweet and so pretty. I should have hidden in my master closet because after the 5th take, the interference and noise was ridiculous. I just used what we had. LOL.
I forgot about my laptop's video capabilities too now that you have mentioned it. LOL I have a built in webcam and it takes pics and videos. Duh! Maybe I will use it next time around. Thanks for reminding me. :)
Fun! And you aren't geeky, just adorable. I kept waiting for one of the boys to jump in the frame! I could hear their little giggles in the background...
My hat's off to you, Darcy, for even trying a video blog. I don't even have a clue how to do one! Ooooh, maybe you could do a short tutorial on that....pretty please!
What a fun video! I have been watching the other video's too-such a cool idea. Hiding in your closet was just too funny and what a sweet kitty. Thanks for being brave enough to do this!
Darcy - I've been a lurker for many, many moons, and it always brings me joy to read about you, your lovely family, and your life. Today's post was awesome as I was able to literally hear from you for the first time. I don't blog, but I follow yours faithfully. Thanks for giving us more of you. Keep the good stuff coming.
That was REAL and funny too, what a typical mom thing to think we can hide ANYWHERE in our house. Becoming a mom has explained why MY mom took so long in the bathroom!
yeesh! Funny story though about that...that's how I learned to tie my shoes! I was waiting for her to get out/be done so that she could tie my shoes so I could go out and play. She took forever so I'm saying the bunny ear story to myself, playing with my laces and Lo and BEHOLD! My shoes are tied!
Your voice is just like I would have thought it would be.
Darcy... you are adorable... I like how Picasso helped and Lucy giving you some love was too cute!! You can’t make that stuff up man!
Its funny... I read peoples blogs and wonder what they sound like... what their personality is like... and now we get a glimpse... I’m sure I will enjoy all you do even more now! *Ü*
Darcy! You are a movie star, dahling! That was *awesome*!!!!
Thanks for being brave and jumping in and doing that. You were so charming and fun. It was so fun to "meet" you "in person". Wait, I didn't really do that...but I did...well, you know what I mean.
BTW -- shooting that in your closet -- isn't that what ALL the reality shows do? Look how Hollywood you are!
*I'm* still patting myself on the back for putting pics of me and the fam on my blog. Baby steps...baby steps...
I LOVED IT!!! You are so stinkin' pretty! I'm so glad that you did this. It makes me like you even more! :-)
Oh and thanks for the shout out. (wow, that sounds dumber to type than it does to just say it...)
Moving right along... I liked how nice and peaceful your closet was! My closet is too little. But we demolished the big walk-in closet to expand the bathroom... maybe I'll do my next video in there. Don't worry- I won't be sitting on the throne or flushing! But it might sound echo-y, huh?
Love, Marsha- who is in SHOCK and UTTER AMAZEMENT that you didn't know your computer could do this. I thought you were the techy queen!
That was SO funny! What a great video. You cracked me up. Your kitty is adorable and that was just so sweet that she gave you a little kitty love there.
I'm fighting with YouTube, but hope to get mine up today. It's all pixelated and making me crazy! :D
I loved your video segment! I'm thinking you should audition for The View with Barbara Walters. You're just what that show needs...and you would totally be a kick! I just know it! Thanks for sharing the real you. You're a very pretty lady and so down to earth :-) Stacy
I did the same thing: googled "how to make a video from a mac" and learned I could do it from Photo Booth or iMovie! The hard part is looking at the camera instead of the screen, huh?
You were so precious! I LOVE getting to really see people like this. I'm uploading mine. :-)
Thank you for posting your video...I don't feel so intimidated by you any more! Oh, and my husband thinks I'm nuts, too...that whole "all my friends live in my computer" routine.
Greetings from Virginia, which, of course, is for Lovers, Politics & History! Thanks so much for dropping in for my BATW Day in the Sun...Love your blog & REALLY love this particular post! Please drop by to see me again sometime soon!
This was great! I was just thinking about my web layout last night and thought how cool it would be to do a commentary type thing with video, and I login to start to go to your design site, and low and behold I see a video clip. You are too cute--and so "real". I really like the "imaginary friends on my computer". ha ha. I feel like a kid and I know my hubby thinks I'm crazy too!
Oh and by the way, the closet doesn't strike me as unusual, because that's where I happen to be reading your blog! I had to move my laptop and printers up here so my youngest wouldn't mess with them and I could utilize them without him around. We do what we gotta do. :)
Yeah - brave is the word! You did great with the distractions (I might have been inclined to give up and tickle someone) and it was nice to put a physical person with the 'inner' you that you give us through your posts. Hmmmm...I think I'd like to try this sometime but we'll see... Awesome! Andrea
You're so much fun, and so cute!!! I enjoyed seeing your video. Your boys are beautiful. We have a black kitty, too, named Aiko. :) I love that you did your video in your closet!
i just found your blog today..........the name had me in right away, i also have 3 boys. i look forward to checking in on you, and will pass your site on to others!
I have been reading your blog for some time now. Just want you to know. I enjoy it, I love your boldness and your family is a true delight. and.... you seem so sweet from this funny blog video. Blessings to you, see ya soon, Mica
You are so cute!! I have been stalking your blog for some time, but this is the first time that I have left a comment! I would totally want to be your friend if I met you in real life!
Darcy, I actually stopped by to check out what you are using for Spelling and what a hoot! I think that I would have hidden and been found as well, but my house is so small, I'm giggling at where I would have even been able to hide. Not my bathroom! They always find me in there. That was really fun!
Imaginary friends!? We're not imaginary. We're real. In fact, you've seen us in video now. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and thanks for jumping in and posting a video too!
This was so wonderful! I'm laughing, only because you're so cute and so REAL! (and way braver than I am to do something like this.) I love the whole blogging in the closet, and friends that live in the computer idea. My husband doesn't really understand this "hobby" either.
Thanks for posting this, I'm so glad I dropped by your blog today. :)
Why am I not a follower of this blog? It couldn't possibly be due to operator error, could it? I didn't think so.
I can't believe you made a video. In your closet. I have seriously been contemplating shoving my laptop out the window and begging for a mac. I wonder if I could get an old verison of photoshop as easily for a mac as I did for windows...
I've been wanting to do a video blog...but haven't come around to doing it yet. My favorite, actually, my only video blog that I regularly watch is Bridgitte Dale.
That was really really funny. ha! I enjoyed hearing the real you - for some reason I imagined you much more serious and stern and severe or something LOL, great post!
OH MY GOSH!!!! I LOVED IT!!!!! I loved the boys in and out of it...the cat...the whole shebang...That was so much fun and I watched every second of it!
Darcy that is quite possibly the cutest and bravest thing ever! I am NOT good in front of the camera at all! But that was just too cute!! How fun! One day I will need to say hello to everyone too! I loved this idea!
You in the closet is so funny! You are too sweet! We should definitely do this more often. Of course, you 'll have to move your office into your closet. And then what will you husband think? ;)
I found your site yesterday while learning about blogging because I recently started one of my own. I'm one of those doesn't "look before you leap" kind of people. It gets me in a LOT of trouble. Hence the need to look for blogging info. after the fact.
Anyway, thanks for the tips.
In my search I stumbled upon your video. I think you have my cat! I had a very affectionate FAT black cat named Lucy until last year. The vet said he was taking her to the country. I thought he meant to bury her. Now I see she entered some kind of animal witness protection program.
I don't want her back. She looks so happy and healthy with you. Just tell her I said, "Hi!" and that the dog is laughing hysterically.
I'm glad you posted a link to this on your post today .. I may never have found it, and that would have made me sad. If I had somehow known that I had never found it ..
I loved this! I love when the bloggers I love do things like this, and prove that they are *real* and not marshmallow people, or something. This was great .. I may need to do something like this someday to prove that I'm real .. and just as much a dork in real life as I am in the written word. =o)
